Albert Levy's Architectural Photographic Series is the bigger- and best - visual record of the key architecture of the United States between 1870-1890 - and we have found that he expanded it to Europe -.He took pictures of the most relevant and new buildings from an architectural - and historical - point of view; he gave detailed notations on the architect, the owner and the location of each building. 

There are at least 42 series (59) with aproximately 30-40 pictures each. These would mean nearly 1000 pictures. According to Albert Levy's catalogue he made 673 pictures of the United States until 1887. According to the book "American Architectural Books, A List of Books, Portfolios and Pamphlets Published in America before 1895" (58) there are 33 series listed in that book before 1895.
